Welcome to The Wardrobe.
Here at The Wardrobe we provide costumes and accessories for a variety of projects, no matter how big or small. We take commissions for bespoke items as well as having some ready made pieces available to buy. Take a look at the portfolio to see some of our previous commissions.
About Me
My Name Is Louise Rootham and I set up The Wardrobe in 2024. I studied my degree in Fashion Design, specialising in the production pathway, qualifying back in 2005. Over the years my love and interest of history, performance, dance, theatre and fantasy has inevitably steered me in the direction of costume design and production.
In my spare time I am part of a dance troupe that holds shows twice a year. I also take part in historical re-enactment and like to attend historical balls. I enjoy learning about history and visiting historical sites. I have a particular fondness for the Tudor period and visiting museums and castles. My TV and film interests lay heavily towards period dramas, sci-fi and fantasy and these areas really do ignite my passion for costume.
I currently live in a small fenland village and my studio is based in the Norfolk town of Downham Market.

We would love to hear from you regarding your requirements and please don't be put off if you cant see an example of the type of thing you require on here already. We are always willing to take on new projects and will do our best to advise you of what we can and cant do.
